Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956, in Woodland Hills California the youngest and sole daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. She was the home of her mother as a mother. Michael Dennis and Kevin are three of her elder brothers. McCormick was an accomplished singer and performer from an early age. She put on shows with puppets for the neighbors. After winning the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley contest at the age of 6 an old Pat Domigan called from Jack Wormser Agency to see if McCormick wanted to get into the world of entertainment. McCormick got her first job as a leading actress in the year 1964. She starred in an advertisement for Mattels' newest doll Baby Pattaburp. The commercial was re-run in 1964, for Mattels Chatty Cathy toy and soon was chosen to play the leading character on Wind It up and It is Broken, a show at La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick's audition was among 1200 other children who auditioned for the role of the oldest towheaded girl in The Brady Bunch. The sitcom starred Florence Henderson and Robert Reed newlyweds, who shared an unmarried family. The run of five years for the show was a successful one. McCormick admitted in Heres the Story. Surviving Marcia Brady, and Finding My True Voice (published 2008) that McCormick nearly lost her Virginity in the hands of Barry Williams during the five-year duration on the program. He was 19. She was just 16. The incident could have occurred, she stated, but the time wasn't right for us.
